Our website is dedicated to our good friend Elliott Horowitz (Aly). He grew up with his constant companion Brownie, his dog, on his family’s chicken farm in Tom’s River, New Jersey.

As a young boy, he saw the Hindenburg fly over his farm & the soldiers waived to him on their way to that fateful docking in Lakehurst, New Jersey. Then for Elliott it was off to the WWII European Theatre serving in a key support position under General Marshall. Upon his return home, Elliott resumed his life like the millions of The Greatest Generation.

He became one of the original 1st Generation MAFSI members. Elliott very successfully practiced his foodservice equipment & supplies rep trade in New York Metro for over 56+ years.

As some of you may know, Elliott has been a staple at just about every trade show for over 50 years.. Elliott would work a booth like no other. An entertaining personality at his manufacturers’ sales meetings known for holding court playing Americana tunes with his ever-ready harmonica. It was always in his pocket. Elliott is a recipient of the MAFSI Lifetime Achievement Award. Humble & always gracious. Elliott truly sets the bar for a foodservice equipment sales rep.

He resides at Amsterdam House, NYC. Elliott celebrated his 100th birthday this year.
